Abstract: The cacophonies in the energy cooperation issues between China and Russia caused by the difference of their prices preference. The establishment of an energy club which affi liates with SCO could not resolve these problems, only constructing an energy pricing mechanism in the SCO first, and then expending it to a regional energy pricing mechanism. This is the way to deal with these energy problems between China and Russia and to make the two countries take more active attitude toward energy cooperation in Middle Asia—Caspian Sea. In addition, a regional (or international) energy pricing mechanism will stabilize the improvements of cooperation between China—Russia—Middle Asia to a historical achievement.
