Abstract: After the Soviet Union’s disintegration, as a refl ection of the pro-West diplomacy and the radical reform of shock therapy, Eurasianism that had a strong geopolitical tendency was on the upgrade once again and had a great infl uence in the diplomatic fi eld. Since the new century, although Russia’s diplomatic policy has been greatly adjusted and a pragmatic diplomacy has been stressed, the diplomatic policy Russia carrys out is still an all-round and multipolar-balanced one which has a clear Eurasianist tilt.
