Abstract: In recent years, the position of the Asia-Pacifi c region ascended fast in the world and gradually became a focus of international strategy. Russia is, as a nation that stretches across Eurasia, actively adjusting its strategic recognition and diplomatic policy and trying its best to participate in and carry forward economic integration of the Asia-Pacifi c region through volunteering for the work of all the organizations and mechanisms of the region and jointly working for protection of the region’s security and stability. As strategic coordination partners, China and Russia share mutual and important security interests in the East Asian region. The two countries are willing to carry out a closed cooperation on the platform of the Six Party Talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue, the East Asia Summit, the Shanghai Economic Cooperation Organization, the Asia-Pacifi c Economic Cooperation and the Association of South East Asian Nations security forum, etc. and to make their own contributions to upholding and strengthening the local region’s security and stability together with the other nations in the region.
