Abstract:The words “broken, chaotic, governed and thriving” can be used to describe Russia since its independence. At present, Russia faces some basic issues such as strategy for economy and all-around modernization, political situation and combination of Medvedev and Putin, diplomatic strategy and the CIS, relations between Russia and US, strategic partnership between Russia and china. Russia that has entered into the new century will be changing from disorder to administration and from governing to prosperity and choose a road for development which is suited to Russia’s national conditions; if this is successful, it will be another historical turning point.
