Abstract: As proposed by Chernov and carried out by Lenin, land socialization was well known in Russia. The principal ends of land socialization were recovering Russian peasants’ traditional equalitarianism and attitude to labor and Russian peasants and their political party - Social Revolutionary Party responding to and fending against a modern revolution launched first by the West. The First World War offered an opportunity of practicing land socialization, but land socialization could not effectively have Russian peasants go out of the war, thereby replaced by land nationalization. Land socialization started because of the war and was delayed also by the war and became a profound value revolution.
