Abstract: After a drastic change of the political situation of the countries in Eastern Europe in 1989, the relations between China and the countries of the Central and East Europe (CEE) changed from the bilateral ties based on the same social systems and values into a new type of bilateral relations with different social systems and values. Under the guidance of the Budapest principles and Bucharest principles, the development of the relations between China and the countries of the CEE has risen while maintaining stability. However, political and economic non-symmetric relations and different values in the development of the bilateral relations have hampered a stable development of the bilateral political relations.
