Abstract: Security cooperation is an important aspect in the cooperation between China and the Central Asian countries. They have made remarkable achievements in security cooperation since establishing diplomatic relations between them. However, there occurred some problems sometimes. Through an analysis of the similarities and differences of their security strategies and security policies over the past twenty years, we have found out the causes of the problems. For twenty years, their common efforts have guaranteed the stability in the Central Asian region and the border areas between China and the Central Asian countries, and their mutual support and help have been indispensable. This is a highlight in their cooperation performance.
