Abstract: With the renaissance and development of religion in new Russia, religious courses have come into the classrooms of the Russian secular schools. Correspondingly, the religious textbook problems have become increasingly salient. In recent twenty years, the Russian Orthodox Church has argued with all sectors of the community about the contents of the textbook and the teaching aims and each sticks to his own view. The interference from Russian state power has made the religion-trained textbook become a required textbook for moral education of the secular schools in Russia. Inspecting the process of the religious textbook coming into the secular schools does a great deal of good in understanding the increase and decline of atheism and theism infl uence in new Russia.
