(№.3,2012)
Abstract: In recent years, the events of historical matters took place frequently in Russia. In June 2010 occurred the event of Russia state organs intervening in historical studies and making historical studies politicized, which was called a “new historian event” or “professor event”. This event was a matter of great importance in Russia’s historical circle in 2010 and brought about different responses from all sectors of society. The nature of the event lay in the non-Stalinization advocated by the present Russian ruling authorities as well as the concepts and behavioral patterns in the Soviet time retained by many Russians. This was a continuity of the contention between the Westernizers and Slavophiles which have lasted for a long time in the history of Russia.
Key words: Russia; new historian event; professor of Moscow State University; reference for teaching
