Abstract: Solzhenitsyn was one of well-known Russian writers in the last half of the 20th century. He published a series of famous works on religious belief and thinking as well as Russian Orthodox Church’s history, position and role, which showed to advantage that a secular intellectual played a positive role in the spread and development of religious thinking in the middle and late period of the Soviet Union and after it collapsed. The independent religious belief and position advertised by him reflected that he succeeded to the expressing traditions of Russian literature by deliberate intention.
