Abstract: In recent years, Chinese investment in Russian Far East increased by large margin, but the overall size is limited. The reasons for this situation are complex. Looked from Chinese aspect, the problems are investment main body strength is not strong, poor management and not standard, narrow investment field, low level in technology and benefit. Looked from Russian aspect, the problems are imperfect and unstable law, overweight tax burden on foreign capital enterprise, low efficiency in government administrative, the construction of infrastructure investment environment problem such as lag. From the deeper level, the Russian economic security concerns in the cooperation with China, the economic interest’s collision in cooperation project, two national cultural differences between China and Russia and the cognitive contrast with each other are the negative factors to the investment cooperation between China and Russia.
