Abstract:The trade structure, opening degree and integration of Russia stay in the relatively lower level compared with other countries in Asia-Pacific region; It is hopeful that the signing of free trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam will open the integration process of Russia with the establishment of free trade zone as the major cooperation direction. As China is the best cooperation partner of Russia under the APEC framework, the future China-Russia economic trade cooperation will seek for the integrating points of cooperation surrounding the “One Belt and One Road” and Eurasian Economic Union. The big power relations, neighboring diplomacy, regional and sub-regional cooperation, hot points and difficult points and many other factors all add complexity and challenges for the cooperation between Russia and APEC.
