Abstract:Since the independence of Kyrghyzstan, the safety situation in its border has always been instable and conflicts occur frequently, mainly manifested as border citizen conflicts, frontier force conflicts, illegal border crossing and armed drug trafficking. They have all been the outstanding problems perplexing the region safety. Recently, the border incidents between Kyrghyzstan and Tajikistan are generally on the rise, while its border incidents with Uzbekistan generally present the declining curve. It is not only related to the unrealistic division of administrative regions by the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, but also related to the self policies of the then union republics.
