Abstract:Since 2014, under the influences of many factors including the ingrained structural drawbacks, delay of the west’s sanction to Russia, fluctuation of international oil price at the low level, etc., the economy of Russia has gradually been caught in the deep recession, the bilateral trade between China and Russia also suffered severe impact, and the trade volume was greatly reduced. However, the shrinking of trade volume does not represent the decrease of economic and trade cooperation level between China and Russia. China and Russia have both achieved remarkable results in the cooperation in energy, finance and investment, high technology and equipment manufacturing, economic commerce and other fields. In the long run, China and Russia will start the era of comprehensive energy cooperation, the export of traditional labor intensive products to Russia will present the reduction tendency, the large project investment will play engine role in the economic and trade cooperation, and the cooperation in capacity and equipment manufacturing will become the new growth point, thus successfully promoting the butt joint between the Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Union and providing new impetus for the deepened economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia.
