Abstract:The deepening of political mutual trust and the pursuit to national interests promote the stable development of military cooperation between China and Russia, and nowadays the two countries have formed the military cooperation relationship integrating military politics, military technology and military actions. In the future, the military cooperation between the two countries will have the following characteristics: firstly, more active cooperation willingness; secondly, more equal cooperation relationship; thirdly, more sensitive cooperation subjects. Currently, the major existing problems and possible barriers in the military cooperation filed of China and Russia are: the mutual trust between the two is still insufficient, the concrete ways of military technology cooperation still need to be improved, and China and Russia will form competitive relationship in the weapon export market. In the future, the military cooperation with Russia must be guided with the new safety outlook, take the national interests as the fundamental starting point and end result, and abide by the principles of equality and mutual respect. Only in this way, could the mutual benefit and win-win result can be achieved. Ultimately, the independence and innovation are the fundamental principles of modern construction of armed forces.
